Job Title: Project Delivery Director Mixed-Use Developments (Abu Dhabi)

About the Role

We are seeking a Project Delivery Director to lead the end-to-end delivery of large, complex mixed-use developments in Abu Dhabi.

This is a senior leadership role for a professional with extensive experience in Tier-1 contracting companies, who can bring strong construction, commercial, and execution expertise to the developer/client side.

The successful candidate will oversee multiple workstreams, manage consultants and contractors, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in full compliance with Abu Dhabi authorities and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the full project delivery lifecycle from design development through construction, testing, commissioning, and handover.

Oversee delivery of large mixed-use developments (residential, hospitality, retail, leisure, infrastructure).

Manage and challenge main contractors and specialist subcontractors, leveraging strong contracting experience.

Drive realistic programs, construction methodologies, and recovery plans.

Ensure effective design coordination across architecture, structure, MEP, and infrastructure.

Maintain control over budgets, variations, claims, and final accounts.

Lead coordination with Abu Dhabi authorities and utility providers to secure approvals and certifications.

Ensure compliance with HSE, quality standards, and local regulations.

Act as the senior interface with consultants, contractors, operators, and internal stakeholders.

Lead, mentor, and manage senior project delivery teams.

Candidate Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management (Master's preferred).

20+ years of experience in construction and project delivery.

Strong background with Tier-1 contracting companies in the UAE.

Proven experience delivering large-scale mixed-use or mega developments in Abu Dhabi.

Excellent knowledge of FIDIC contracts, claims management, and commercial control.

Strong understanding of Abu Dhabi authority processes (municipality, utilities, civil defense, etc.).

Proven leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

PMP, RICS, or equivalent professional certification is an advantage.
