Role Overview

The Delivery Director; Civil, Structural & Architectural (CSA) is responsible for the leadership, coordination, and delivery of all CSA works across multiple large-scale infrastructure facilities. The role ensures safe, high-quality, and timely delivery of complex CSA packages in alignment with programme objectives, governance requirements, and fast-track execution schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

CSA Delivery Leadership

  • Lead all civil, structural, and architectural works across a portfolio of facilities, including Data Centres, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), hydrogen gas turbine generators, GIS substations, seawater cooling systems, offsite cabling, grid substation extensions and modifications, and hydrogen processing facilities.
  • Ensure effective coordination of CSA works with MEP, power, utilities, and digital infrastructure packages.

Project Planning & Pre-Construction

  • Lead the CSA pre-construction phase, including EPC tendering, evaluation, selection, and onboarding for CSA scopes.
  • Own CSA project execution plans, schedules, budgets, and resourcing strategies.

Design & Construction Oversight

  • Support and participate in design and construction reviews for CSA packages, ensuring alignment with programme requirements and constructability objectives.
  • Maintain detailed oversight of design development from LOD 100 through LOD 500.
  • Work closely with the Project Company team to ensure invoicing, payment certification, and commercial processes remain current and accurate.
  • Support change management processes, ensuring effective protocols are implemented and consistently applied across CSA packages.

EPC & Contractor Management

  • Oversee EPC and CSA contractor performance, ensuring timely delivery, quality compliance, and adherence to fast-track schedules.
  • Monitor progress, productivity, and performance against agreed milestones and contractual obligations.

Safety & Quality Assurance

  • Implement and enforce HSE requirements and quality standards across all CSA activities.
  • Conduct regular inspections, audits, and reviews to ensure compliance with applicable safety, quality, and environmental regulations.

Stakeholder & Interface Management

  • Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, contractors, consultants, and regulatory authorities.
  • Provide regular updates on CSA delivery status, risks, challenges, and milestones.

Risk & Issue Management

  • Identify CSA-related risks and interface constraints and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure contingency plans are in place to manage unforeseen technical, programme, or construction issues.

Handover & Close-Out

  • Oversee CSA handover activities, ensuring all works meet contractual, technical, and operational requirements.
  • Ensure final inspections, as-built documentation, and close-out deliverables are completed in accordance with project governance standards.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Civil, Construction, or Structural Engineering.
  • Minimum of 20 years experience delivering large-scale data centre and infrastructure projects with significant civil and structural scope.
  • Proven track record of managing complex, multi-facility programmes.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of industry standards, HSE, quality, and environmental regulations, with specific experience in KSA requirements preferred.
