CSCEC ME is recruiting an Project Director to join our project management team.
Job Summary:
Project Director will lead the end-to-end delivery of a deep tunnel gravity sewer line project, ensuring execution aligns with technical specifications, safety standards, contractual obligations, and project timelines. The role demands strong leadership in managing large-scale underground works, including TBM operations, shaft construction, and complex stakeholder coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide overall strategic direction for the successful execution of the deep sewer tunnel project.
- Ensure project delivery within scope, time, budget, and quality requirements.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams including engineering, construction, commercial, and HSE.
- Oversee design review, construction methodology, and execution of deep tunnel works using TBM methods.
- Monitor critical activities such as shaft sinking, tunneling, lining, and utility connections.
- Ensure compliance with international standards and client specifications.
- Administer contract obligations, claims management, and variation orders.
- Oversee budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and subcontractors on contractual matters.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, government authorities, and regulatory bodies.
- Manage relationships with utility agencies and ensure coordination for interface works.
- Lead project meetings, reporting, and progress reviews with stakeholders.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, especially related to geotechnical conditions and underground works.
- Ensure strict adherence to HSE standards and promote a safety-first culture.
- Oversee emergency response planning for tunneling operations.
- Lead and mentor senior project staff, including construction managers and engineers.
- Ensure optimal allocation of manpower, equipment, and materials.
- Drive performance management and workforce productivity.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 18–25 years of experience in large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Proven experience in deep tunnel sewer, metro, or underground projects.
- Strong knowledge of TBM operations, shaft construction, and geotechnical engineering.
- Experience in GCC or international mega projects is highly preferred.
