Project Director

James L Williams Middle East is seeking a highly experienced and commercially driven Project Director to lead and oversee the successful execution of major data center projects across the UAE.

This is a senior leadership role responsible for the full contractual, commercial, and operational delivery of projects, ensuring completion on time, within budget, and in full compliance with Quality and HSE standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the full project lifecycle in accordance with contractual obligations.
• Oversee project planning, manpower allocation, procurement, and cost control.
• Manage contractual and commercial matters, including FIDIC contracts and claims.
• Ensure the timely submission of payment applications and maintain positive cash flow.
• Monitor project performance against approved schedules and budgets.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Construction Managers, QA/QC, HSE, and Engineering teams.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and government authorities.
• Drive risk management initiatives, delay notifications, and Extension of Time (EOT) claims.
• Oversee project close-out, defect liability management, and final account settlement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 15 years relevant industry experience.
• Proven leadership experience delivering data center projects (mandatory).
• Strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts and claims management.
• Solid commercial and financial management experience.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong stakeholder and client relationship management skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
