The Project Director's role is to lead and direct all aspects of project delivery to ensure that the Mirage projects are completed on time and within budget and with the Client and project's objectives being met.
The Project Director is an effective leader, client-facing, communicator, problem-solver, manager and organizer with in-depth knowledge and extensive relevant experience.
Qualifications and Experience
- Tertiary qualification (University Graduate) in either Project Management, Building Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Architecture or similar plus a minimum of 20 years relevant experience in a project management role
- Extensive experiential learning in the construction industry (20 years plus)
- Progressively increased responsibility over career duration
- Relevant projects of an appropriate scale (Luxury/ high-end hotel projects)
- Saudi experience preferred
- Active membership of a relevant professional institution is an additional consideration
Key Responsibilities
- Produce and implement the Project Execution Plan and direct the Project Management team to perform the role of the Project Manager as defined in the Mirage Flow-Charts
- Provide a level of service that meets the expectations of Mirage and is regarded as being of a high standard within the Project Management profession
- Identify areas for improvement in project delivery plans and implement accordingly.
- Manage the commercial aspects of the project, including consultant fees, claims, payments, etc.
- Inspires confidence and trust in interactions with clients, key stakeholders and operators, etc.
- Administer the Construction Contracts and issue all correspondence as the authorised signatory
- Lead a project and drive the achievement of quality, programme and budget targets
- Lead Value Engineering workshops
- Lead regular progress updates in conjunction with the Planning Manager
- Lead all Delay Claim workshops and the assessment process
- Conduct meetings, produce minutes and drive outcomes
- Lead, manage and motivate multi-disciplined teams and colleagues
- Lead the Procurement process
- Compile monthly and other reports and make recommendations
