We are seeking an experienced Project Director with Waste to Energy experience to lead the delivery of large-scale energy and infrastructure projects in the UAE.
This is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing multiple concurrent projects across the full lifecycle from development and EPC execution through commissioning and operational readiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide executive leadership to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget
- Oversee EPC contractors, consultants, and multidisciplinary project teams
- Maintain accountability for cost, schedule, risk, and technical integrity
- Lead governance, reporting, and stakeholder engagement at senior level
- Manage interfaces and conflicts across multiple projects within a portfolio
- Support executive decision-making on project strategy and delivery performance
- Drive QHSE standards and regulatory compliance across all project phases
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering (essential); MBA or equivalent advantageous
- 15+ years experience in EPC project delivery within power, utilities, oil & gas, or infrastructure
- Proven track record delivering large, complex capital projects (>USD 250M)
- Strong technical credibility with EPC contractors and consultants
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and multiple projects simultaneously
- Certifications such as PMP / PRINCE2 preferred
- Strong commercial, leadership, and stakeholder management capability
