Project engineer

Key Responsibilities
Design & Drafting
- Prepare 2D and 3D technical drawings for fall protection systems using AutoCAD and Revit.
- Develop detailed shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and installation layouts for lifelines, rail systems, anchors, and access systems.
- Interpret architectural and structural drawings to integrate Fallprotec systems seamlessly into building designs.
- Revise drawings according to client feedback, engineering input, or site modifications.
- Develop Revit families and parametric components for Fallprotec products and systems.
- Integrate fall protection systems seamlessly into architectural and structural BIM models.
- Perform clash detection and coordinate with architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines to resolve conflicts.
- Extract 2D construction drawings, shop drawings, and installation layouts from BIM models.
- Ensure BIM models comply with project BIM Execution Plans (BEP) and international standards (ISO 19650).
- Ensure all drawings comply with Fallprotec's design standards and international safety regulations (EN, OSHA, ANSI, etc.)
Engineering & Technical Support
- Assist in technical calculations, including load analysis, anchorage verification, and structural assessments.
- Provide technical documentation (datasheets, design notes, and BOQs) to support project proposals and submissions.
- Work closely with sales engineers to design solutions tailored to client requirements.
- Review project specifications and ensure technical compliance with local UAE standards and client safety policies.
- Support the installation and commissioning teams with drawings, technical clarifications, and as-built documentation.
Coordination & Collaboration
- Collaborate with consultants, contractors, and project managers to obtain design approvals.
- Coordinate with Fallprotec's head office or manufacturing team for product customization or special design requests.
- Attend site visits when needed to collect data, verify measurements, and ensure correct implementation of designs.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams to align project timelines and priorities.
Documentation & Quality Control
- Maintain and organize drawing registers, revision logs, and project documentation.
- Ensure drawing accuracy, consistency, and proper version control.
- Participate in quality assurance checks before design submission or installation.
- Update and maintain a technical library of standard Fallprotec details and typical solutions.
Continuous Improvement & Reporting
- Identify opportunities to optimize design efficiency and standardize recurring solutions.
- Support the engineering manager with weekly progress reports and project tracking.
- Stay updated on new products, materials, and design tools relevant to fall protection and access systems.
