Position Title: Project Engineer

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all finishing works on site, including plastering, painting, flooring, tiling, false ceilings, joinery, aluminum, glazing, and other interior and exterior finishes.
- Supervise daily site operations related to finishing works, ensuring productivity, workmanship quality, and adherence to safety standards.
- Review approved drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and method statements to plan and sequence finishing activities.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely mobilization, material delivery, and execution of finishing works.
- Monitor progress of finishing activities against the project program and report delays or issues to the Project Manager with proposed corrective actions.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure finishing works comply with approved standards, materials, and workmanship requirements.
- Identify defects and incomplete works during internal inspections and ensure timely rectification and de-snagging by subcontractors.
- Support consultant inspections and ensure all comments and observations are closed prior to final approvals.
- Ensure all finishing works comply with project quality plans, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Maintain proper site records, inspection reports, snag lists, and progress updates related to finishing works.
- Coordinate with other trades to avoid clashes and ensure smooth execution of finishing activities.
- Assist in preparing areas for handover by ensuring completion of all contractor-side obligations and closure of punch list items.
- Enforce site safety practices and ensure subcontractors follow approved safety procedures at all times.
- Provide technical guidance and supervision to site staff and subcontractor teams to maintain high-quality standards.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (B.E. / B.Tech).
- DM License Mandatory
- 510 years of UAE construction experience, with strong exposure to finishing works from the contractor's side.
- Thorough knowledge of finishing materials, construction methods, and best practices.
- Strong experience in supervising subcontractors and managing site execution.
- Excellent inspection, snagging, and de-snagging skills.
- Strong leadership, coordination, and communication abilities.
- Familiarity with UAE construction codes, consultant requirements, and site safety regulations.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight project deadlines.
