Job Purpose:

The Project Engineer is responsible for managing the planning, execution, and successful completion of projects related to the design, fabrication, and galvanization of steel components for center pivot irrigation systems. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet stringent quality standards.

Key Accountabilities:

• Lead and manage engineering projects from concept through to completion.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, outlining timelines, budgets, and resource needs.
• Oversee the design, fabrication, and galvanization processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and specifications.
• Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor project progress and ensure quality control.
• Collaborate with design, procurement, production, and quality control teams to ensure seamless project execution.
• Provide technical expertise and support to project teams and stakeholders.
• Prepare detailed project documentation and progress reports for senior management.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues.

Job Requirements:

- Years of experience: 3-5 years of experience in project engineering within the steel fabrication or galvanization sector.

-Preferred 5-7 years of experience in project engineering related to irrigation systems or agricultural equipment.

Qualifications:

-Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field.

-Preferred Master's degree in Engineering or related field.

Certificates:

Not mandatory, but certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) are advantageous.

Language proficiency:

-Proficient in English, both verbal and written.

-Preferred Proficiency in additional languages is beneficial.

Computer skills:

-Proficient in CAD software and engineering design tools; experience with project management software.

-Preferred Experience with advanced manufacturing technologies and automation in steel fabrication; familiarity with quality management systems and continuous improvement methodologies.
