Role Overview:
The Project Engineer (Security Cameras & Security Systems) is responsible for the planning, design, implementation, and maintenance of security camera systems and other security-related technologies across retail locations. This role ensures the effective deployment of security solutions to safeguard company assets, employees, and customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to assess security needs and design customized security camera and system solutions for retail stores.
- Develop project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation for security system installations.
- Oversee the installation, configuration, and integration of security cameras, access control systems, and other security technologies.
- Ensure all systems are installed according to company standards and industry best practices.
- Provide technical support for security systems, including troubleshooting and resolving issues related to cameras, recording devices, and network connectivity.
- Conduct regular maintenance and upgrades to ensure optimal performance of security systems.
- Test and validate security systems to ensure they meet functional and performance requirements.
- Perform post-installation reviews and audits to ensure systems are operating as intended.
- Train store staff and security personnel on the proper use of security systems.
- Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, user manuals, and project reports.
- Ensure all security systems comply with company policies, industry standards, and legal regulations.
Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining security systems, preferably in a retail or commercial environment.
- Experience with large-scale security system deployments is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Certifications in security systems (e.g., CCTV, access control) or project management (e.g., PMP) are preferred.
- Proficiency in designing and implementing security camera systems (CCTV, IP cameras, etc.).
- Knowledge of access control systems, alarm systems, and other security technologies.
- Strong understanding of networking principles and IT infrastructure.
- Experience with project management tools and methodologies.
- Familiarity with data privacy and security regulations.
- Certifications in security technologies (e.g., CCTV, access control) or project management (e.g., PMP) are an advantage.
