The Project Engineer HVAC is responsible for end-to-end execution of HVAC works for high-rise towers, ensuring vertical system coordination, authority compliance, quality installation, and timely delivery as per the construction program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute HVAC works for high-rise towers, including chilled water risers, FCUs, AHUs, FAHUs, ventilation, smoke extraction, staircase & lift lobby pressurization systems.
- Review IFC drawings, specifications, and tower HVAC schematics; raise RFIs for discrepancies related to shaft routing, risers, and plant rooms.
- Prepare and manage shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements specific to tower construction.
- Coordinate HVAC shaft, riser, and plant room interfaces with civil, architectural, electrical, plumbing, and fire fighting teams.
- Plan floor-by-floor execution, manpower deployment, and material logistics for vertical construction.
- Ensure HVAC installations comply with approved drawings, ASHRAE/SMACNA standards, and local authority requirements (DEWA, DCD, Municipality).
- Attend coordination and technical meetings with consultants and main contractors for tower-specific issues.
- Monitor site progress, productivity, and subcontractor performance; prepare daily and weekly progress reports.
- Ensure strict adherence to QA/QC procedures and HSE requirements for tower works.
- Support testing, commissioning, TAB, and system integration for high-rise HVAC systems.
- Manage snag rectification, as-built drawings, O&M manuals, and final HVAC handover for the tower.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 812 years of HVAC experience with contracting companies.
- Mandatory experience on high-rise tower projects (residential / commercial).
- Strong knowledge of chilled water riser systems and high-rise ventilation concepts.
- Hands-on experience with authority inspections and approvals for tower buildings.
