With some of our exciting launches such as Burj Azizi (the second tallest tower in the world), Monaco Mansions and Azizi Venice – Dubai's new luxurious Venetian-inspired Waterfront community, we are rapidly expanding our onsite Supervision team based at Dubai.
As a Project Engineer – Infrastructure, you will be responsible for managing and supervising infrastructure works across project sites, ensuring that all activities are executed in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, contractual requirements, applicable codes, and authority standards. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in infrastructure construction, including roads, utilities, drainage, and associated civil works, with sound knowledge of UAE construction practices and local authority requirements.
Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise infrastructure construction activities in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and project requirements.
- Ensure all infrastructure works are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with approved quality standards and project specifications.
- Review and coordinate construction drawings, shop drawings, method statements, material submittals, and technical documentation.
- Supervise and monitor construction activities related to roads, pavements, drainage, utility networks, earthworks, and other infrastructure works.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and project teams to ensure smooth execution and timely completion of works.
- Monitor project progress against approved schedules and identify potential delays, constraints, and construction issues.
- Ensure infrastructure works comply with relevant UAE standards, authority requirements, and approved project specifications.
- Coordinate with local authorities and utility providers as required for inspections, approvals, testing, and connections.
- Inspect completed works and ensure that all works are executed as per approved drawings and quality requirements.
- Coordinate site inspections, testing, approvals, and necessary documentation with consultants and relevant authorities.
- Monitor the implementation of approved materials and ensure that only approved materials are incorporated into the works.
- Identify construction issues and coordinate with relevant stakeholders to implement effective corrective actions.
- Maintain proper records of site activities, progress reports, inspection requests, material approvals, and project documentation.
- Participate in site meetings, progress reviews, coordination meetings, and project handover activities.
- Coordinate with the planning, QA/QC, HSE, design, procurement, and commercial teams to ensure effective project delivery.
- Provide technical guidance and support to site teams and subcontractors to ensure efficient execution of infrastructure works.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in infrastructure construction projects.
- Minimum 5 years of UAE experience in infrastructure construction is preferred.
- Proven experience in roads, drainage, utilities, earthworks, pavements, and associated infrastructure works.
- Strong knowledge of UAE construction standards, specifications, authority requirements, and infrastructure practices.
- Experience coordinating with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and relevant UAE authorities.
- Ability to review and interpret technical drawings, specifications, method statements, and project documentation.
- Strong understanding of construction planning, site supervision, quality requirements, and project execution.
- Good knowledge of health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements applicable to infrastructure projects.
- Strong communication, coordination, problem-solving, and site management skills.
- Previous experience working on major infrastructure or large-scale development projects in the UAE is preferred.
