A leading international law firm is looking to appoint a Principal Associate (78 PQE) to join its Corporate Projects team in Dubai. This is a senior associate-level opportunity for a project finance specialist seeking high-profile, cross-border work within a well-established regional platform.

The team advises sponsors, lenders, export credit agencies, development finance institutions and government entities on complex infrastructure and energy transactions across the Middle East and wider emerging markets.

The Role

You will play a key role on large-scale project finance transactions, including:

• Acting for lenders and sponsors on limited recourse project financings
• Advising on energy (conventional and renewables), infrastructure, utilities and transport projects
• Drafting and negotiating finance documentation (LMA-based and bespoke structures)
• Working closely with international offices and local counsel across multi-jurisdictional transactions
• Supporting junior lawyers and contributing to client relationship development

This role offers significant responsibility, direct client exposure and the opportunity to work on region-defining mandates.

Candidate Profile

• 78 years PQE with a strong and demonstrable project finance background
• Experience advising on complex cross-border financings
• Middle East experience strongly preferred; candidates already based in the region are particularly encouraged
• England & Wales qualification preferred (though not essential)
• Training from a Magic Circle or top-tier international firm advantageous but not mandatory
• Commercially minded, technically strong and confident in client-facing environments

The key requirement is deep project finance expertise sector pedigree matters less than hands-on transaction experience.
