Project Head – Greenfield Chemical Plant (IPA)

We are hiring a Project Head to lead the end-to-end execution of a greenfield Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA) manufacturing plant. This is a single-point-accountability role spanning detailed engineering, procurement, construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and the performance guarantee test run (PGTR) — delivering on time, on budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards.

Mandatory Requirement

Hands-on project leadership experience on an Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA / isopropanol) plant is essential. This is a specialist mandate, and IPA project exposure is non-negotiable.

Key Responsibilities

- Own and drive the project master schedule from engineering through commissioning and PGTR

- Coordinate with the technology licensor, EPC contractor, PMC, and in-house engineering teams

- Review and approve engineering deliverables (PFDs, P&IDs, datasheets, GA drawings, 3D models)

- Lead HAZOP, SIL studies, and process safety reviews to closure

- Oversee procurement of long-lead equipment and manage vendor evaluation and inspections

- Supervise multi-disciplinary construction (civil, mechanical, piping, E&I) with strict quality control

- Manage CAPEX budget, cost tracking, and Board-level reporting

- Secure statutory approvals and ensure regulatory compliance

- Build, lead, and mentor the owner's project team

Required Qualifications

- BE / BTech in Chemical Engineering (ME / MTech or PG in Project Management preferred)

- 15–25 years in chemical/petrochemical plant projects, with 8–10 years in project leadership

- 2–3 greenfield chemical plants executed end-to-end as Project Head/Manager

- Strong command of EPC/LSTK/EPCM contracts, project controls, and process safety

- Experience with international technology licensors and Chinese/European OEM procurement

- CAPEX management experience in the range of ₹100–500 Crore
