We specialize in providing consultation, solutions, services and manpower throughout the GCC in information security, mobility, cloud computing, big data, governance, risk management and compliance.

Position Overview

The Project Lead is responsible for leading the successful execution of instrumentation, control, electrical, and automation projects from project award through completion. The role ensures projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with client requirements while maintaining high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.

The Project Lead serves as the primary point of coordination between clients, engineering, procurement, logistics, finance, subcontractors, and project teams, ensuring efficient project delivery and effective stakeholder communication.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management

  • Lead and manage projects throughout the complete project lifecycle, from planning through execution and close-out.
  • Develop project execution plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies.
  • Conduct project meetings and coordinate technical and commercial activities with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor project progress, budgets, schedules, and deliverables to ensure successful execution.
  • Review technical specifications, engineering deliverables, and material procurement plans.
  • Coordinate procurement activities, including long-lead items, supplier follow-up, and delivery schedules.
  • Identify project risks, maintain risk registers, and implement mitigation plans.
  • Ensure accurate project documentation, reporting, invoicing, and project close-out activities.
  • Capture lessons learned and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout project execution.
  • Coordinate technical clarifications, inspections, and project reviews with clients, consultants, and contractors.
  • Ensure timely communication and response to customer inquiries.
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through proactive project management.

Project Planning & Cost Control

  • Monitor project costs, budgets, and profitability.
  • Support project estimating and execution planning activities.
  • Coordinate billing, collections, bank guarantees (BGs), letters of credit (LCs), and commercial project requirements.
  • Track project KPIs and prepare regular progress reports for management.

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead and supervise project engineers, technical supervisors, and technicians.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including Engineering, Procurement, Logistics, QA/QC, Finance, and Sales.
  • Foster collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement across project teams.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures, quality standards, and HSE requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • PMP certification is highly preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum 7–10 years of project management experience in industrial automation, instrumentation, electrical, or EPC projects.
  • Proven experience managing multidisciplinary engineering projects from initiation through completion.
  • Experience working with industrial clients within Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Utilities, or Power sectors is preferred.
  • Experience managing project budgets, procurement activities, scheduling, and client communications.

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of instrumentation, control systems, automation, and MV/LV electrical systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project and/or Primavera.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Strong understanding of project planning, procurement, risk management, and cost control.
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Fluent in English; Arabic is an advantage.
