Job Description

Khazna was founded in 2012 and has grown rapidly into becoming the leading and trusted wholesale Data Center provider in the Middle East and North Africa region. Through our Data Centers, we provide industry benchmark levels of power supply and cooling services to better serve the growing need for data center operations in the UAE and wider region.

We are seeking a PMO Engineer to lead the initiation and governance of collaboration spaces, while coordinating all NXO cross-functional projects in alignment with project managers and sponsors. The role will focus on driving consistent project initiation processes, reducing administrative overhead, and enabling seamless cross-functional delivery through strong PMO practices. The ideal candidate will also leverage AI-assisted planning tools and methodologies, where applicable, to enhance efficiency and project outcomes.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Initiate collaboration spaces: create, configure, and standardize Teams channels, Planner plans, SharePoint sites, and associated templates for new projects.
  • Project coordination: act as the PMO point of contact for NXO cross‑functional projects; align project managers, sponsors, and functional leads during initiation and handoffs.
  • Planning and scheduling: build and maintain project plans, task breakdowns, milestones, and dependencies exclusively within MS Planner and MS Teams.
  • Governance and standards: enforce PMO processes, naming conventions, access controls, and lifecycle rules for collaboration spaces.
  • Reporting and dashboards: produce regular project health reports, consolidated status, and escalation packs; surface risks, issues, and blockers to sponsors.
  • Resource and change coordination: track resource assignments, coordinate cross‑team dependencies, and support change requests during initiation and early delivery phases.
  • Stakeholder engagement: facilitate kickoffs, steering updates, and working sessions; ensure sponsors and PMs have required artifacts and approvals.
  • Enablement and training: create quick‑start guides, run onboarding sessions for Planner/Teams usage, and promote best practices.
  • Continuous improvement: capture lessons learned, optimize templates and workflows, and pilot AI‑assisted planning tools to reduce manual effort.
  • The PMO Engineer operates at the intersection of program governance and delivery enablement for NXO cross‑functional initiatives. This role is embedded in a centralized PMO but works closely with distributed project managers, project sponsors, and functional leads to standardize project initiation and collaboration space setup. The position supports multiple concurrent project initiations and early delivery phases, prioritizing consistency, speed to readiness, and stakeholder alignment.
  • Collaboration model: Hybrid, with frequent virtual collaboration through Microsoft Teams and Planner and periodic in‑person workshops for major kickoffs.
  • Pace and volume: High volume of short to medium duration projects requiring rapid setup of collaboration spaces and immediate stakeholder coordination.
  • Stakeholder distribution: Cross‑functional stakeholders across DC Engineering, DC operations, and NXO business functions, occasionally spanning multiple time zones.
  • Operational setup: Authorized to create, configure, and decommission collaboration spaces, Planner plans, and standard SharePoint artifacts without sponsor approval when following PMO templates and naming conventions.
  • Governance enforcement: Empowered to enforce PMO initiation checklists, access controls, and lifecycle rules; to require missing initiation artifacts before a project is considered active.
  • Escalation rights: Authorized to escalate unresolved initiation blockers, resource conflicts, or governance non‑compliance to project sponsors.
  • Budget and scope: No independent budget approval authority and no unilateral scope changes for projects. Any budget or scope decisions must be routed to the project sponsor.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3+ years in a PMO, project coordination, or project management support role with exposure to cross‑functional programs.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, IT, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Minimum Skills / Requirements:

  • Technical skills: hands‑on experience with Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Planner, and basic SharePoint configuration.
  • Project knowledge: solid understanding of project initiation, planning, risk/issue management, and stakeholder governance.
  • Communication: excellent written and verbal communication; proven ability to run kickoffs and stakeholder meetings.
  • Organizational skills: strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple initiations concurrently.
  • Collaboration: ability to influence without authority and align distributed teams.
  • Analytical: translate project data into concise status and actionable recommendations.
  • Process orientation: create repeatable templates, checklists, and gating criteria for project initiation.
  • Tool fluency: MS Planner; MS Teams; SharePoint; Excel; Power BI (preferred).
