Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager – Roads, Highways & Detour Planning to lead the delivery of major road and highway infrastructure projects.

About the Role

You will oversee the full project lifecycle, from design review and construction supervision through to handover. You will act as the key link between the client, contractors, and design consultants, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to specification.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage road and highway projects from planning through completion
• Supervise construction activities and ensure compliance with approved designs, specifications, and quality standards
• Plan, review, and coordinate traffic management and detour schemes to minimize disruption to road users
• Review and approve contractor submittals, work programs, method statements, and progress reports
• Monitor project schedules, costs, and risks; recommend corrective actions where needed
• Oversee contractor payments, variation orders, and claims in line with contract conditions
• Coordinate with authorities, utility providers, and stakeholders to resolve interface issues
• Enforce HSE requirements and quality assurance procedures on site
• Provide regular progress reporting to the client and senior management
• Guide and mentor site engineers and supervision staff

Key Requirements

• 10 to 15 years of experience in roads, highways, and detour/traffic management planning
• Proven experience in roads project engineering and site supervision
• Working knowledge of the PMC environment, including client representation, contractor oversight, and contract administration
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
• Strong understanding of FIDIC or similar contract conditions
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Proficiency in project planning tools (Primavera P6 / MS Project)
