An Aluminum Project Manager leads the lifecycle of specialized aluminum workssuch as facades, curtain walls, and structural framingfrom design through site installation.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Oversight: Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of aluminum and glazing projects while ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Technical Management: Coordinate design development with architects and consultants; review shop drawings, material submittals, and Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for accuracy.
- Site Supervision: Monitor daily site activities, conduct regular inspections, and manage installation teams and subcontractors.
- Resource & Logistics: Oversee the procurement, fabrication, and logistics of materials to ensure components are ready for timely site installation.
- Commercial Management: Prepare and control project budgets, manage change orders or variations, and implement cost-control strategies.
- Compliance: Enforce Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards and ensure work complies with local building codes and international standards like ASTM or EN.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil or Mechanical), Architecture, or Construction Management.
- Experience: 10+ years of experience in aluminum facade, glazing, or architectural aluminum projects.
- Software Proficiency: High proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, or Primavera.
- Certifications: Professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) are often preferred.
- Skills: Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and proactive problem-solving abilities.
