Job Title: Project Manager IMAL
Location: Cairo
Reporting To: Senior Director Product Implementation
Experience: 6-10 Years
Role Overview:
Project Manager to lead the end-to-end implementation of banking software solutions. The project manager is responsible for managing project scope, timelines, resources, risks, and budgets while acting as the main point of contact between the bank and internal delivery teams. The Project Manager ensures high-quality delivery, customer satisfaction, and profitability by coordinating cross-functional teams, controlling changes through formal processes, and proactively managing risks and dependencies. Strong banking domain knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple complex projects in parallel are essential for success in this role. The candidate must possess excellent communication and stakeholder management skills and be fluent in both Arabic and English.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead full-cycle implementations from initiation through go-live and hypercare, including core banking and data migration projects
Define and manage project scope, timelines, budgets, and resource plans
Maintain formal change control processes to manage scope creep and ensure traceability
Monitor project health and proactively identify and mitigate risks, issues, and dependencies
Ensure delivery quality and client satisfaction at every phase of the project
Act as the single point of accountability between the bank's stakeholders and internal cross-functional delivery teams
Conduct regular status reporting, steering committee presentations, and executive-level communications
Build and sustain strong relationships with client sponsors, business users, and technical counterparts
Lead, mentor, and coordinate cross-functional project teams including functional consultants, technical specialists, and QA resources
Manage team performance, resolve conflicts, and foster a collaborative delivery culture
Allocate and optimize resources across concurrent project workstreams
Own project P&L, tracking budgets, forecasting costs, and ensuring project profitability
Identify and escalate financial risks early and propose corrective measures
Maintain a live risk and issue register with clearly defined mitigation and contingency plans
Drive formal change request processes ensuring all scope changes are assessed, approved, and documented
Key Requirements:
6+ years of project management experience in BFSI, with a proven track record of delivering core banking and/or banking software implementation projects
Demonstrated experience managing full project lifecycle implementations including data migration and system cutover
Hands-on experience with T24 (Temenos) is a strong plus
Experience with IMAL (Islamic banking platform) is highly desirable
Working knowledge of PL/SQL for technical coordination and data validation oversight
PMP Certification is required
Experience managing and leading project teams (people management)
Willingness and ability to travel as required by project delivery
Fluent in both Arabic and English (written and spoken) mandatory
Exceptional stakeholder management and executive communication skills
Ability to translate complex technical topics into clear business language for senior client audiences
