Job Description

AProjectManager(PM)isahighlyresponsibleandmultifacetedrole,essentialforguiding

projectsfrominitiationtosuccessfulcompletion.Theyareultimatelyaccountableforensuring

projectsaredeliveredontime,withinbudget,andtotherequiredqualityandscope.

Role Overview:

KeyResponsibilities:

1.ProjectInitiation&Planning:

*DefineProjectScope&Objectives:Collaboratewithstakeholderstoclearlydefineproject

goals,scope,deliverables,andsuccesscriteria.

*DevelopProjectPlan:Createacomprehensiveprojectplan,includingdetailedtasks,

schedules,timelines,resourceallocation,andbudget.

*FeasibilityStudies&RiskAssessment:Conductfeasibilitystudiesandidentifypotentialrisks,

developingmitigationstrategies.

*StakeholderIdentification:Identifyandengagewithallrelevantinternalandexternal

stakeholders.

*ResourcePlanning:Determineandacquirenecessaryhuman,financial,andmaterialresources.

2.ProjectExecution&Management:

*TeamLeadership&Motivation:Lead,motivate,andmanagetheprojectteam,assigningtasks,

settingclearexpectations andfosteringacollaborativeenvironment.

*TaskCoordination:Coordinateactivitiesandresourcesacrossvariousteamsanddepartments

toensureseamlessexecution.

*VendorManagement:Select,negotiatewith,andmanagethird-partyvendorsandcontractors,

ensuringadherencetocontractsandserviceagreements.

*QualityAssurance:Implementandoverseequalitycontrolprocessestoensuredeliverables

meetrequiredstandards.

*ChangeManagement:Managechangestoprojectscope,schedule,andbudgetthrougha

formalchangecontrolprocess.

3.Monitoring&Control:

*ProgressTracking:Monitorprojectprogressagainsttheplan,trackingmilestones,and

identifyingdeviations.

*BudgetManagement:Overseeandcontroltheprojectbudget,trackingexpensesandensuring

cost-effectiveness.

*RiskManagement:Continuouslyidentify,assess,andmanageprojectrisks,implementing

contingencyplansasneeded.

*IssueResolution:Proactivelyidentifyandresolveissuesandroadblocksthatariseduringthe

projectlifecycle.

*PerformanceReporting:Prepareandpresentregularprojectstatusreportstostakeholders,

includingprogress,budget,risks,andforecasts.

4.ProjectClosure:

*DeliverableHandover:Ensureallprojectdeliverablesarecompleted,approved,andofficially

handedovertotheclientorrelevantparties.

*FinancialClosure:Finalizeallfinancialaspectsoftheproject,includingpaymentsand

reconciliations.

*Post-ProjectReview:Conductpost-projectreviewsandlessonslearnedsessionstoidentify

areasforimprovement.

*Documentation:Ensureallprojectdocumentation,includingdrawings,specifications,and

signedapprovals,iscompleteandarchived.

RequiredSkills&Qualifications:

HardSkills:

*ProjectManagementMethodologies:Strongunderstandingandexperiencewithvarious

projectmanagementmethodologies(e.g.,Waterfall,Agile,Scrum,PRINCE2).

*Budgeting&FinancialManagement:Provenabilitytodevelop,manage,andcontrolproject

budgets.

*RiskManagement:Expertiseinidentifying,assessing,andmitigatingprojectrisks.

*Scheduling&Planning:Proficientincreatingandmanagingdetailedprojectschedules.

*SoftwareProficiency:Competencyinprojectmanagementsoftware(e.g.,MicrosoftProject,

Jira,Asana),spreadsheets(Excel),andpresentationtools(PowerPoint).

*TechnicalAcumen:Abilitytounderstandandinterprettechnicaldrawings,specifications,and

industry-specificrequirements.(Thisisespeciallyimportantinconstructionorengineering

projects).

Education&Experience:

*Bachelor'sdegreeinarelevantfield(e.g.,Engineering,Project

Management).

*PMP(ProjectManagementProfessional)orPRINCE2certificationishighlypreferred.

*5+yearsofexperienceinprojectmanagement,withaproventrackrecordofsuccessfully

deliveringprojectsofsimilarscopeandcomplexity.(Specifyrelevantindustryexperience)
