Job Description

Project Manager – Financial Control | Dubai, UAE

About the Role

Our client, a leading organization in the financial services sector, is seeking a Project Manager – Financial Control to join their team in Dubai.

In this role, you will lead key financial control projects, focusing on financial and regulatory reporting solutions. You will work closely with senior stakeholders across the region and support transformation initiatives, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of reporting and system enhancements.

The ideal candidate will bring strong project management experience, financial reporting knowledge, and the ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead financial control projects focused on regulatory and financial reporting transformation
  • Develop and manage end-to-end project plans, ensuring timely delivery
  • Analyze data requirements and design reporting and calculation solutions
  • Oversee testing activities, including UAT and validation of reporting outputs
  • Support BAU activities across financial accounting and regulatory reporting
  • Drive process improvements and eliminate inefficiencies in reporting frameworks
  • Prepare and present project updates and status reports to senior stakeholders
  • Identify, track, and mitigate risks, issues, and dependencies
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, governance frameworks, and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Finance, Risk, IT, and external stakeholders
  • Engage with senior stakeholders to align project objectives and delivery expectations
  • Support system changes and regulatory updates across reporting processes

About You

  • Bachelor's degree (mandatory for UAE work requirements)
  • Proven experience in project management within financial control, reporting, or transformation environments
  • Strong understanding of financial and regulatory reporting frameworks
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders in a matrix organization
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong focus on controls, governance, and process improvement
  • Ability to manage complex data and reporting requirements
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of SQL or Python is an advantage
  • Professional certifications such as ACA or CPA are preferred
