Job Description
The Project Manager is responsible for the day-to-day execution of FinOps and Software Asset Management (SAM) delivery workstreams, running the project team, coordinating with clients and vendors, and managing stakeholder communications across assigned project activities. This role ensures timely delivery of FinOps projects by efficiently managing resources, tracking progress, and managing the contractual process and relationship with clients and vendors to ensure optimum service quality before, during, and after project execution.

Develop detailed project plans, including scope, objectives, milestones, resources, timelines, and budgets, and share them with management and stakeholders to monitor and track project progress.
Coordinate internal resources and third-party vendors to ensure FinOps and SAM projects are executed flawlessly and delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Assist in defining project scope and objectives in consultation with stakeholders, ensuring project feasibility before kickoff.
Ensure resource availability and appropriate allocation across the project team, delegating tasks based on individual strengths and experience.
Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and budget using appropriate change control, verification, and financial analysis techniques.
Track and measure project performance against short- and long-term goals using appropriate project management tools, metrics, and reporting techniques.
Perform risk management by identifying, assessing, mitigating, and resolving project risks and issues.
Manage relationships with clients and project stakeholders by conducting regular meetings and briefings to clarify requirements, expectations, and project status.
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, spreadsheets, trackers, and reporting dashboards for cost, savings, and resource utilization.
Research and evaluate vendors to identify the most suitable products, services, tools, and pricing available in the market.
Manage the procurement and vendor evaluation process in accordance with organizational policies, including negotiating contracts with new and existing vendors.
Establish and monitor vendor standards, performance metrics, and compliance guidelines to ensure service quality and contractual adherence.
Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and third parties, serving as the primary liaison between vendors and internal stakeholders.
Troubleshoot project and vendor-related issues, escalating critical matters to management when necessary.
Demonstrate and continuously develop leadership skills to effectively lead, motivate, and guide the project team toward successful project delivery.
Qualifications
Desired Educational Background:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, IT, or a related field from a recognized university; PMP, CAPM, or equivalent project management certification preferred.
Language Requirement
English (mandatory); Arabic (preferred)
Desired Experience
- 5+ years of project management experience, ideally within FinOps services, cloud, or technology delivery environments
- Experience managing both waterfall and agile project management methodologies
- Experience managing IT/cloud-related projects, ideally including FinOps, Software Asset Management, or cloud governance initiatives
- Experience in managing multi-cloud (Azure/GCP/OCI) environments
- Experience in procurement, vendor evaluation, and contracts administration
- Experience in project management frameworks (PMBOK, PRINCE2, Agile)
- Exposure to frameworks such as ITIL or ISO/IEC 19770 is an advantage
- FinOps Certified Practitioner (mandatory); FinOps Certified Professional (preferred)
- PMP Certified (or working toward certification)
