About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Projects Manager to lead and oversee the successful delivery of construction and engineering projects from planning through completion.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overall project performance, including scope, programme, cost, quality, resources, technical coordination, commercial matters, and stakeholder management. The role requires a strong leader with extensive UAE construction experience and the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and multiple stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the overall planning, execution, monitoring, and completion of assigned construction and engineering projects.
• Take full ownership of project delivery, ensuring projects are completed within approved scope, budget, programme, and quality standards.
• Develop and monitor project programmes, milestones, deliverables, resources, and manpower requirements.
• Lead and coordinate project teams, including engineers, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, QS, procurement, and support functions.
• Manage day-to-day coordination between clients, consultants, contractors, authorities, and internal departments.
• Review project drawings, specifications, contracts, BOQs, programmes, and technical documentation.
• Monitor project progress and identify delays, risks, technical issues, and commercial concerns at an early stage.
• Develop and implement corrective and recovery plans where required.
• Chair regular project meetings and ensure actions, decisions, and deliverables are properly followed through.
• Monitor project costs, variations, claims, procurement activities, and commercial performance in coordination with the commercial/QS team.
• Coordinate technical issues, RFIs, design changes, material approvals, and site-related matters.
• Ensure all works comply with approved drawings, specifications, contractual requirements, quality standards, HSE requirements, and applicable UAE regulations.
• Liaise with authorities and ensure required approvals, permits, NOCs, and inspections are coordinated.
• Review contractor and consultant performance and ensure contractual obligations are being met.
• Manage client expectations and maintain strong professional relationships with key stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities for value engineering, cost optimisation, and improved project efficiency.
• Prepare regular project status reports, including progress, cost, risks, resources, key issues, and required management decisions.
• Lead project handover, testing, commissioning, snagging, close-out, and final documentation.
• Provide leadership, mentoring, and direction to project teams.
• Support senior management with project strategy, resource planning, business development, and operational decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related engineering discipline.
• 10+ years of relevant experience, preferably with significant UAE construction experience.
• Proven experience managing large-scale construction, contracting, or engineering consultancy projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, project management, contracts, commercial management, and technical coordination.
• Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and multiple stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of UAE construction regulations, authority requirements, and industry practices.
• Strong knowledge of project planning, scheduling, cost control, quality management, and risk management.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant project management/planning software.
• PMP, PRINCE2, or relevant professional certification is an advantage.
• UAE driving licence is an advantage.

Preferred Profile

We are looking for a hands-on, accountable, and commercially aware Projects Manager who can take ownership of project delivery, lead teams effectively, manage clients and consultants, resolve complex project issues, and consistently drive projects towards successful completion.

Candidates with strong experience in UAE construction, contracting, engineering consultancy, and multidisciplinary project delivery will be strongly preferred.
