Focus: Delivery of Mendix or government IT projects; formal governance and reporting; dependency management with many third parties

Project Description

We're building a delivery team for a large, multi-phase enterprise Mendix programme and are looking for a Project Manager to lead delivery end to end. The programme integrates with about 20 systems through an enterprise service bus (ESB). These include government services, banks, a payment gateway, and enterprise platforms such as CRM, finance and accounting, chatbot and data management. Many external systems respond asynchronously, so integration dependencies and third-party coordination are central to delivery.

Role summary

We are looking for a Project Manager to run delivery, governance and third-party dependencies for a large, multi-phase enterprise Mendix programme on Microsoft Azure.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and run delivery from mobilisation through analysis, build, testing, go-live, hypercare and handover.

• Run formal governance: monthly steering committee, bi-weekly project board and weekly status reporting.

• Manage dependencies across many third parties, including external system owners and integration partners.

• Coordinate onsite and remote team members through key phases such as analysis, UAT and go-live.

• Track client dependencies such as system access, API documentation and test environments.

• Oversee documentation, knowledge transfer and handover to the client's nominated support team.

Experience

• Over 10 years of total experience in IT project delivery, with 5+ years dedicated specifically to management and leadership roles.

• 3-5+ years delivering Mendix or government IT projects.

• Running formal governance: steering committees, project boards and status reporting.

• Managing dependencies across multiple third parties and external system owners.

• Delivering projects with system integrations and phased go-lives.
