We are currently hiring for a Project Manager role based in Dubai, UAE, on behalf of our client, a well-established leader in delivering global engineering and technical solutions.
With over two decades of presence in the UAE, our client specializes in subsea engineering, oil & gas, offshore marine projects, as well as renewable energy and defense sectors.
The role is responsible for ensuring cost-effective project delivery that meets client requirements, on time and within budget, while leading and developing the project management team.
Position- Dubai, UAE
Salary- 25,000 - 30,000 AED
Key Responsibilities
Project Execution & Governance
- Lead the planning and delivery of projects, ensuring alignment with defined scope, timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Take ownership as a senior project lead on key initiatives while providing direction and support to other Project Managers.
- Evaluate and sign off on project plans, schedules, budgets, and execution strategies.
- Proactively identify risks and challenges, ensuring timely resolution and implementation of mitigation plans.
- Maintain strong oversight on project performance, ensuring adherence to internal processes and governance frameworks.
- Drive continuous improvement and change management initiatives across project functions.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting on project progress, including financial tracking and performance updates.
Team Leadership & Development
- Guide, mentor, and develop the project management team to drive high performance and efficiency.
- Establish clear goals, conduct regular performance reviews, and address performance gaps where necessary.
- Identify training and development needs to support team growth and business objectives.
- Oversee team capacity and workload distribution to ensure project timelines are consistently met.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Ensure effective communication between Project Managers, internal departments, and external clients.
- Prepare and present project updates and performance reports to senior stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders to ensure alignment on project requirements and expectations.
Compliance, Safety & Governance
- Ensure all activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and quality standards.
- Promote strong ethical practices, governance, and professional conduct across the team.
- Uphold health, safety, and environmental standards, fostering a culture focused on zero incidents.
- Take immediate action to halt any unsafe operations and escalate concerns to the relevant teams.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Academic Qualification:
- PMP Preferred
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Must have Experience:
- Proven experience as a Lead Project Engineer or Project Manager handling technical projects in an industrial environment.
- Strong background in managing the design, manufacturing, and testing of machinery, equipment, and complete turnkey systems.
- Demonstrated capability in leading a team of project managers across single or multiple projects.
Relevant Project Background:
- Projects involving the design and manufacture of heavy equipment or specialized machinery, including gas systems, hydraulic systems, automation, or industrial electrical controls.
- Exposure to aerospace, heavy machinery, or process equipment industries.
- Experience working in regulated technical environments involving pressure systems, modular assemblies, or equipment with critical safety standards.
- Background in shipbuilding and fitouts is also advantageous.
