We are currently recruiting for a Project Manager Mechanical- Oil & Gas for one of our client to be based out of their Fujairah Office.
Purpose-
The Project Manager (Mechanical) will be responsible for managing and overseeing mechanical construction projects within the oil & gas sector, with a primary focus on tank construction. The role involves end-to-end project execution, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with technical specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
Responsibility-
- Manage and execute mechanical construction projects, particularly tank construction projects in the oil & gas industry.
- Coordinate effectively with contractors, consultants, material vendors, end users, SHEQ teams, and relevant regulatory authorities.
- Develop project schedules, monitor progress, and implement project planning and control measures to ensure timely completion.
- Review and approve method statements, risk assessments, and project execution plans.
- Review engineering drawings, technical documents, specifications, and construction methodologies.
- Evaluate and approve material submittals and ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
- Monitor project costs, progress, and quality to ensure adherence to project objectives.
- Verify and certify contractor payments, invoices, and progress claims.
- Oversee testing, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and handover activities.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, health, environmental, and quality (SHEQ) requirements.
- Liaise with authorities and stakeholders to obtain necessary approvals and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Manage project close-out activities, including documentation, punch-list clearance, final reporting, and handover.
Skills-
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering (B.E./B.Tech.) or equivalent.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in managing construction projects within the Oil & Gas (Tank Construction Projects Mandatory).
- Proven experience in tank construction projects is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of project management principles, construction practices, and contract administration.
- Experience in planning, scheduling, project controls, commissioning, and project close-out activities.
- Strong understanding of SHEQ requirements and risk management processes.
- Ability to review and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and material submittals.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
- Proficiency in project planning and scheduling tools.
