Project Manager – Interior Fit-Out

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

Job Purpose

The Project Manager will be responsible for the overall planning, coordination, execution, and successful delivery of interior fit-out projects. The role requires strong leadership and project management skills to ensure projects are completed within the approved budget, timeline, quality standards, and contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the complete lifecycle of interior fit-out projects from mobilisation through completion and handover.

- Develop and monitor project schedules, programmes, budgets, and resource requirements.

- Lead and manage project teams, site personnel, subcontractors, and suppliers.

- Coordinate effectively with clients, consultants, architects, MEP contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.

- Review and interpret drawings, specifications, BOQs, contracts, and other project documentation.

- Monitor project progress and ensure works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.

- Coordinate architectural, civil, joinery, finishes, and MEP works to ensure smooth project execution.

- Identify potential delays, technical issues, and project risks and implement appropriate corrective actions.

- Monitor project costs, variations, material procurement, and subcontractor performance.

- Conduct regular site and progress meetings and provide project updates to senior management.

- Ensure compliance with health, safety, quality, and environmental requirements.

- Manage snagging, testing, commissioning, and final project handover.

- Maintain proper project documentation, reports, records, and correspondence.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and other project stakeholders.

- Ensure successful project delivery while maintaining the company's quality and commercial objectives.

Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related discipline.

- Minimum 10 years of experience in interior fit-out project management.

- Proven experience with an established interior fit-out contractor.

- Strong knowledge of commercial, hospitality, retail, residential, or high-end interior fit-out projects.

- Hands-on experience in project planning, execution, budgeting, procurement, subcontractor management, and client coordination.

- Good understanding of architectural finishes, joinery, MEP coordination, and fit-out construction methodologies.

- Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

- Proficiency in MS Office and relevant project management/planning software.

- UAE/GCC project experience will be an advantage.
