The Project Manager will lead the end-to-end implementation of a Project Portfolio Management (PPM) tool for a prominent airline client based in Dubai, UAE. This role is responsible for ensuring successful project delivery within defined scope, schedule, cost, and quality parameters, in strict alignment with business objectives and IT PMO governance. The Project Manager will coordinate across internal teams and external vendors to drive project outcomes and deliver value to stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and manage the full project lifecycle, including planning, execution, and closure of PPM tool initiatives.
- Develop and maintain integrated project plans; manage dependencies and critical paths.
- Lead risk, issue, and change control activities with proactive escalation and resolution.
- Oversee vendor and third-party delivery, track contractual milestones, and coordinate testing, release, and deployment.
- Provide accurate forecasting, progress reporting, and executive-level communication.
- Ensure adherence to IT PMO governance, audit, and compliance guidelines.
- Challenge and validate technical solutions, manage integrations, and translate business requirements into actionable deliverables.
- Facilitate stakeholder management, decision-making, and accountability in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.
Required Skills and Experience
- PMP Certification is mandatory.
- 58 years of proven project management experience in IT, preferably with large-scale tool implementations.
- Strong expertise in schedule, cost, scope, and quality management; RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) management.
- Proficient in SDLC and Agile/Hybrid delivery models; experience with MS Project, MS Office, and SharePoint.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, vendor management, and leadership skills.
- Ability to understand and challenge technical solutions, drive decision-making, and ensure operational readiness.
- Effective communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
