Job Summary:
The Project Manager to lead multidisciplinary consulting assignments in the engineering services & consultation sector, with a strong focus on Independent Power Producer (IPP) and Renewable Energy / Battery Energy Storage System (RE/BESS) projects.
The Project Manager will be responsible for end-to-end deliveryensuring high-quality outputs, robust governance, and proactive stakeholder managementparticularly within public sector environments and programs requiring Monitoring & Evaluation.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead project delivery from initiation to close-out, developing and maintaining project plans, schedules, budgets, and resourcing to ensure on-time, on-quality delivery.
- Manage multidisciplinary technical teams (grid interconnection, solar PV, wind, BESS, and pre-development specialists), aligning outputs to scope, standards, and client requirements.
- Oversee QA frameworks and controls, ensuring all deliverables (reports, studies, reviews) follow defined quality processes, documentation standards, and internal governance.
- Direct risk assessment activities for IPP and RE/BESS projects, maintaining risk registers, mitigation plans, and escalation paths; ensure timely issue resolution.
- Coordinate technical reviews and validations of pre-development and development-stage studies (e.g., ESIA, geotechnical, hydrological, topographical, and related assessments) for completeness and compliance.
- Drive stakeholder management with public sector entities, developers, utilities, and other stakeholders; facilitate workshops, meetings, and executive updates.
- Ensure clear and timely reporting, producing structured Task Reports and management summaries that communicate progress, findings, recommendations, and next steps.
- Implement Monitoring & Evaluation practices, defining indicators, tracking performance, and ensuring evidence-based reporting aligned to program objectives and client expectations.
- Support commercial and contractual alignment by ensuring deliverables meet SOW requirements, managing variations/changes, and maintaining strong documentation for approvals and audits.
- Maintain high responsiveness and client service by promptly addressing client communications on business days and ensuring quick turnaround on clarifications, actions, and decision support.
Qualifications required:
- Master's degree in a suitable Engineering and/or Project Management discipline.
- Minimum 3 years experience working in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) or Gulf (GCC) countries in a relevant field.
- Minimum 10 years international experience in engineering consulting / technical advisory / project delivery roles.
Demonstrated experience in:
- QA and risk assessment studies for IPP and RE/BESS projects
- Public sector projects and stakeholder environments
- Monitoring & Evaluation methodologies and reporting
