Job Purpose:
Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of telecommunications projects, ensure they meet deadlines, stay within budget, and satisfy quality standards. Managing resources, communicating with stakeholders, and navigating the technical complexities of telecom systems.
Main job duties and responsibilities:
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and clients.
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, budgets, and milestones.
- Coordinate and manage resources, including contractors, vendors, and internal teams.
- Oversee the execution of projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are on track with respect to schedule and costs.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams, external vendors, and clients, providing regular project updates.
- Ensure that client expectations are aligned with project goals and deliverables.
- Address and resolve any issues, risks, or changes in project scope that may arise.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Ensure that quality standards are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct regular project reviews to evaluate progress, identify issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
Job requirements:
Educational background and previous experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field. A PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is preferred.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in project management within the telecommunications industry.
- Experience managing large-scale telecom projects, such as Rollout, Site Build (Civil), network deployments, and infrastructure upgrades.
