Project Manager (Senior Specialist)

About the role
Khalifa University of Science and Technology is seeking a Project Manager (Senior Specialist) within the Administration, Facilities and EHS department, reporting to the Manager, Space & Projects Planning.

The role manages the planning, coordination and successful delivery of campus development, space planning and facilities projects in line with University objectives, standards, timelines, budgets and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities
• Plan and manage assigned projects from initiation, design and execution through handover and close-out.
• Control project scope, objectives, schedules, budgets, deliverables, costs, risks and reporting.
• Manage educational facilities, campus development, space planning, renovations and operational projects.
• Assess existing sites and buildings and recommend modifications, designs, specifications, construction documents and appropriate use of educational land or vacant buildings.
• Gather end-user requirements and coordinate consultants, contractors, internal departments, government entities and regulatory authorities.
• Review designs, technical submissions and contractor deliverables against University standards, user needs, budgets and schedules.
• Support procurement through scopes of work, tender evaluations, contract administration, capital rollout requests for proposals, specifications and service-level agreements.
• Conduct project oversight and site inspections to assess quality, performance, risks and vendor compliance.
• Ensure safety, regulatory compliance, sustainability and environmental performance, and follow information-security and confidentiality policies.
• Maintain project documentation and stay current with sustainability developments.

Qualifications and experience
• Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, Architecture or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
• Familiarity with Smart Pass and Abu Dhabi government project submission procedures is highly desirable.
