Role Overview
VAS is seeking an experienced Project Manager Visa Application Services (VAS) to lead the planning and delivery of end-to-end projects related to the setup, transition, and operation of Visa Application Centres (VACs) globally.
Based in the UAE, this role will manage international projects across multiple countries, working closely with internal leadership, government authorities, technology partners, and local vendors to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in full compliance with contractual, regulatory, and security requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of global VAS projects, including new centre launches, transition/takeover of existing operations, and multi-country rollouts.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, dependencies, and critical paths using tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet, or equivalent.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including Operations, IT, Security, Finance, HR, Legal, and external vendors across multiple geographies.
- Act as the primary point of contact for project governance, status reporting, risk management, and issue escalation.
- Manage project budgets, milestones, and deliverables, ensuring adherence to approved scope, timelines, and quality standards.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to regulatory approvals, security, infrastructure readiness, and partner dependencies across regions.
- Support stakeholder engagement with government authorities, local partners, and senior management globally.
- Ensure all projects comply with international regulatory, data protection, security, and contractual requirements.
- Prepare and present regular project status reports, dashboards, and executive presentations to senior stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business, Engineering, IT, or a related field.
- 712 years of project management experience, preferably in visa services, government services, shared services, BPO, or large multi-site operations.
- Proven experience managing complex, international or multi-country projects.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, or hybrid).
- PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification is mandatory.
