Justifications
- Contributing to the preparation of projects general plans and timelines (for design or implementation phases) to monitor progress and prepare performance reports.
- Monitor the submissions of contractors, consultants, and engineering offices and ensure compliance with requirements.
- Follow up on and verify implementation schedules with contractors.
- Analyze and monitor costs to ensure compliance with the allocated project budget.
Job Responsibilities
- Monitor progress and compile project status reports.
- Prepare weekly and monthly progress report templates and monitor progress accordingly.
- Assist in establishing earned value management guidance and tools for project performance monitoring and reporting.
- Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports and presentations.
- Provide advice to the project on any site progress or planning concerns that may impact site progress.
- Follow up on design, procurement, and construction progress for compliance with contract requirements.
- Prepare the master program for projects.
- Review construction programs received from contractors and analyze them in line with contractual requirements.
- Prepare design schedules for projects under design and guideline schedules for projects to be started or in progress.
- Prepare delay and disruption analysis in response to contractors claims.
- Participate in creating the document coding structure for all documents.
- Manage and develop the document control system and communication flow for the project.
- Ensure procurement, material, and submittal logs are created and maintained.
- Collaborate on identifying long lead items.
- Aid in preparing risk assessments and mitigation plans.
Required Experiences and Skills
- Chartered/qualified engineer with a B.Sc. in Engineering from a recognized university, with a minimum of 5 years proven experience in a similar project controls role.
- Advanced experience in Primavera P6 and MS Project for engineering and real-estate projects, along with proficiency in other relevant software for preparing technical reports, planning, and analyzing trends using numerical and statistical techniques (e.g., MS Excel and PowerPoint).
- Proficient in report writing with a high degree of accuracy.
- Excellent time management, organization, and presentation skills.
- Understanding of technical, commercial, and contractual concepts and requirements within engineering projects.
- Proficient in advanced data analysis tools, such as Power BI, to optimize the reporting process.
