The project engineer will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing projects within the organization, ensuring they are completed on time within scope and budget.
Responsibilities
Project Scheduling & Monitoring: Develop, update, and track project schedules, ensuring deadlines, budgets, quality, and safety standards are met.
Scope & Critical Path Management: Understand project scope, identify interdependencies, critical items, and potential risks early on.
Estimation & Alternatives: Seek accurate time/cost estimates, plan contingencies, and propose alternatives for efficiency.
Coordination & Communication: Involve all stakeholders in planning and monitoring, ensure smooth collaboration, and maintain proper documentation.
Problem-Solving & Corrective Actions: Anticipate challenges, take early corrective measures, and provide immediate solutions without compromising quality or safety.
Resource & Effort Optimization: Balance workloads, look for efficiency improvements, and manage resources effectively.
Documentation & Reporting: Prepare clear schedules, visuals, and project documents, while regularly reporting progress to management.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
Minimum of 3 years related experience
Proficient with Primavera and familiar with the technology used in planning projects
Ability to read and understand mechanical plans
Excellent communication skills
Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, AutoCAD), with a strong understanding of engineering principles.
Excellent problem-solving skills for predicted and unexpected problems
