Job Purpose: We are seeking an experienced Director of Projects to lead and oversee the successful delivery of all company projects, ensuring that execution is aligned with approved plans, timelines, budgets, quality standards, safety requirements, and contractual obligations.
The role will be responsible for leading project teams, overseeing on-site execution, coordinating with fit-out and support departments, managing stakeholders, and ensuring projects are delivered efficiently while supporting the company's operational objectives and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all company projects, ensuring execution in line with approved plans and business objectives.
- Review and approve project execution plans, timelines, resource requirements, and delivery schedules.
- Provide direct leadership to project managers and monitor their performance against project targets.
- Oversee on-site progress and ensure adherence to project scope, technical requirements, timelines, and approved standards.
- Monitor execution quality and ensure all works comply with technical specifications, approved drawings, contracts, and quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, risk management, and site operational requirements.
- Monitor project budgets, costs, and resource utilization to ensure efficient and cost-effective delivery.
- Review financial and operational project performance and implement corrective actions where needed.
- Coordinate with the Fit-Out Department and other support functions to ensure timely availability of materials, equipment, manpower, and required resources.
- Manage relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and relevant stakeholders.
- Review and approve project progress reports, payment certificates, and related documentation.
- Address operational challenges and project risks, making timely decisions to ensure business continuity and project progress.
- Participate in the evaluation of new projects, including execution requirements, feasibility, risks, and resource needs.
- Develop and improve project management processes, methodologies, and governance standards.
- Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on project status, progress, risks, challenges, and recommendations.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality and contractual requirements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Structural Engineering, or a related engineering field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in managing and delivering construction, fit-out, or infrastructure projects.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior leadership or supervisory project management role.
- Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong knowledge of project planning, execution, site management, quality control, safety requirements, and contract management.
- Strong ability to manage budgets, costs, resources, contractors, and project performance.
- Excellent leadership, decision-making, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage priorities, and ensure timely project delivery.
