Projects Estimator

Viola Communications is growing and we're looking for a detail-oriented Projects Estimator to support our exhibitions, events, and fit-out projects. The role involves preparing accurate cost estimates, BOQs, and competitive quotations for custom stands and event builds, while working closely with design, production, and project teams to ensure profitability and seamless execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review client briefs, technical drawings, shop drawings, and 3D designs to accurately define project scope.
• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for materials, labor, subcontractors, logistics, installation, and dismantling.
• Develop comprehensive Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and structured cost breakdowns.
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate supplier and subcontractor quotations to ensure competitive pricing.
• Ensure all estimates meet company margin and profitability targets.
• Coordinate closely with designers, project managers, and production teams to validate scope and costing.
• Provide value engineering solutions and cost-saving alternatives without compromising quality.

Qualifications & Skills

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Interior Design, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• 25 years of experience in exhibition stand fabrication, events production, fit-out, or joinery projects.
• Strong knowledge of materials (wood, metal, acrylic, graphics, lighting, AV) and fabrication/installation processes.
• Demonstrated expertise in preparing detailed cost estimates covering materials, labor, subcontractors, logistics, installation, and dismantling.
• Proficiency in Excel/spreadsheets, estimation tools, and AutoCAD.
