Pub Manager (P J O'Reilly's) - Irish Pub

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Hospitality Management or related field preferred.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a similar role within an Irish pub or luxury bar, ideally within a hotel setting.
• Strong knowledge of beverages (especially beers, whiskeys, and cocktails) and Irish pub culture.
• Proven leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent communication and guest relations abilities.
• Proficiency in POS systems and inventory management software.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Management

• Oversee all daily pub operations including bar, floor, and service functions.
• Ensure smooth coordination between kitchen, bar, and service teams for timely and high-quality delivery.
• Maintain cleanliness, ambiance, and authenticity in line with Irish pub standards.
• Manage inventory levels, stock rotation, and ordering of beverages and supplies.

Financial & Sales Performance

• Achieve revenue and profitability targets through effective cost control and upselling initiatives.
• Analyze sales reports, monitor budgets, and implement strategies to increase average checks and reduce wastage.
• Develop and promote themed nights, live entertainment, and special events to boost footfall and brand visibility.

Guest Experience

• Ensure exceptional service and a warm, welcoming atmosphere consistent with Irish hospitality.
• Handle guest feedback and complaints promptly and professionally.
• Maintain high standards of product quality and presentation.

Team Leadership

• Recruit, train, and motivate staff to deliver professional and friendly service.
• Conduct regular briefings and ensure adherence to service and grooming standards.
• Schedule and manage staff performance, attendance, and development.

Compliance & Standards

• Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards.
• Adhere to licensing laws and hotel operating procedures.
• Work closely with the hotel's Food & Beverage management to align pub operations with hotel objectives.
