About the role:
JOB SUMMARY:
A PR Account manager plays a crucial role in developing and executing media strategies, managing day-to-day PR activities, and supporting our overall public relations efforts. Responsibilities include compiling media profiles, conducting research, planning media engagements, and maintaining comprehensive media databases. The PR Manager is also responsible for drafting press releases, pitch media opportunities, and cultivate strong relationships with media outlets and influencers. Additionally, the role involves supporting press events, handling media inquiries, and analysing the effectiveness of PR campaigns.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Contribute to the development of media strategies and plans.
-Support the execution of strategic PR plans through day-to-day account management.
-Assist in planning and executing press launches, conferences, roundtables, and other media and public events, including onsite support and event logistics.
-Propose and brainstorm creative ideas.
-Compile and continuously update documents containing media profiles and editorial calendars.
-Monitoring, measurement and reporting creation media and social media reports, highlight results
-Conduct research to support plans and proposals.
-Plan and execute media and influencer engagements.
-Develop and manage media and influencer lists, including making recommendations and identifying the right contacts.
-Identify media opportunities proactively and pitch media interviews.
-Maintain a comprehensive and updated media and influencer database.
-Cultivate strong relationships with media outlets and journalists for effective communication and maximum coverage.
-Respond to media inquiries.
-Manage and update the weekly WIP report and provide regular progress reports.
-Build and maintain an up-to-date archive of relevant assets.
-Maintain an updated press office and media press kits.
-Draft and disseminate press releases, and follow up with the media.
-Analyse and report the effectiveness of public relations campaigns, providing findings to management.
-Monitor and report on media and social media activities.
-Provide general administrative support.
QUALIFICATIONS:
-A bachelor's degree in public relations, journalism, marketing, or a related field, along with at least 8 years of PR experience, is required.
-Exceptional communication skills, superb writing abilities, and strong organizational skills are essential for success in this fast-paced environment.
