Job Summary
The Public Relations Officer is responsible for managing all government-related processes, ensuring company compliance with local laws and regulations, and maintaining strong relationships with government authorities.
The role requires extensive experience in visa processing, labor and immigration procedures, licensing, document clearance, and stakeholder management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee all government-related transactions and approvals.
- Process employment visas, work permits, residency permits, visa renewals, cancellations, and status changes. Liaise with government departments such as:
- Ministry of Human Resources & Emiratisation (MOHRE)
- Immigration Department
- Municipality
- Chamber of Commerce
- Economic Development Department
- Free Zone Authorities and other government agencies.
- Ensure company licenses, permits, and registrations are renewed on time.
- Monitor changes in government laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with government officials and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate document attestation, notarization, and legalization processes.
- Support HR and management with employee onboarding and offboarding procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of visas, labor cards, licenses, and official company documents.
- Handle government inspections and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
- Prepare reports and updates for senior management regarding government-related matters.
- Resolve complex government and employee documentation issues efficiently.
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Public Relations, or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a PRO/Government Relations Officer.
- Extensive experience with labor, immigration, and licensing procedures.
- Strong knowledge of UAE Labour laws and other government regulations and systems
Skills
- Excellent communication and relationship-management skills.
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- High attention to detail and confidentiality.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Fluent in English and Arabic (preferred).
