Job Summary:
The Purchase Manager will be responsible for procuring drugs, medicines, and healthcare products from local suppliers and pharmacies in compliance with UAE regulations. This role ensures timely, cost-effective, and high-quality procurement to support the organization's operations.
Responsibilities
- Source, negotiate, and purchase pharmaceuticals, medicines, and medical supplies from licensed local drug stores and suppliers.
- Maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable supply, competitive pricing, and favorable terms.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the warehouse/operations team to prevent stockouts or overstocking.
- Ensure all purchased products comply with UAE health regulations and licensing requirements.
- Prepare and maintain purchase orders, procurement records, and supplier documentation.
- Coordinate with Quality Assurance to ensure products meet required standards and specifications.
- Analyze market trends, pricing, and product availability to optimize procurement decisions.
- Collaborate with finance to ensure timely payments and budget adherence.
- Support audits and inspections by regulatory authorities and internal teams.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in pharmaceutical procurement or supply chain management.
- Strong knowledge of UAE healthcare regulations and licensed drug suppliers.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office applications.
