Description
We are seeking an experienced Purchase Officer to manage our procurement activities in the Gulf region. The ideal candidate should have 5-10 years of experience in procurement, with a proven track record of managing end-to-end procurement processes. The candidate should also be familiar with the local market context of the Gulf region.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet business needs
- Identify potential suppliers and negotiate contracts and pricing
- Ensure timely delivery of goods and services
- Maintain accurate records of purchases and contracts
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure procurement processes align with organizational goals
- Stay up-to-date with market trends, regulations, and best practices
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field
- 5-10 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the Gulf region
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with procurement software and tools
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus
