The company specializes in updating, replacing, and renewing legacy control systems with modern Siemens-based solutions and complete SCADA systems. GFM ELECTRIC supports diverse production lines by supplying electrical equipment and offering on-site troubleshooting services. The team also repairs and maintains electronic devices such as AC inverters, DC converters, and PLC modules, helping clients improve reliability and productivity.
Role Description The Purchasing Electrical Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Qesm El Maadi. This role is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and purchasing electrical components and systems required for automation and control projects, including equipment for production lines and Siemens-based solutions. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing technical specifications, coordinating with engineering teams to define requirements, and negotiating with suppliers to ensure cost-effective, high-quality materials. The Purchasing Electrical Engineer will manage vendor relationships, track orders, and ensure timely delivery of equipment to support project timelines. The role also involves maintaining accurate procurement records, monitoring inventory levels, and contributing to continuous improvement of purchasing processes.
Qualifications

Candidates should possess skills in Electrical Engineering and Electricity, with a solid understanding of industrial automation environments.
Candidates should possess skills in Electrical Design, including ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications for procurement purposes.
Candidates should possess skills in Power Systems and Power Distribution relevant to production lines and control systems.
Experience in technical purchasing or procurement within an engineering or industrial setting is highly beneficial.
Strong negotiation, vendor management, and cost analysis skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline is preferred.
Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and communicate clearly with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Familiarity with Siemens technologies, SCADA systems, and components such as inverters, converters, and PLCs is a plus.
