Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage purchasing requirements for the Engineering Department and support other hotel departments as required.
  • Source, evaluate, and maintain relationships with suppliers for technical materials, equipment, spare parts, and services.
  • Obtain and compare quotations based on technical specifications, quality, pricing, and commercial requirements.
  • Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, warranty conditions, and other commercial terms.
  • Prepare and process purchase requisitions and purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Review technical specifications, drawings, and equipment requirements when required.
  • Coordinate closely with the Engineering team to ensure purchased materials and equipment meet the required technical specifications and quality standards.
  • Follow up with suppliers on deliveries, installation, warranties, repairs, and technical support.
  • Support procurement related to AMCs, repairs, maintenance works, and technical services.
  • Maintain accurate purchasing documentation, quotations, supplier records, and supporting documents.
  • Monitor supplier performance and ensure timely delivery of required materials and services.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining required quality and technical standards.
  • Ensure purchasing activities are carried out in accordance with hotel policies, procedures, and approval requirements.

Requirements

  • Engineering background is required, preferably in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related Engineering discipline.
  • Previous experience in Purchasing/Procurement, preferably within a hotel, resort, facility management, or technical environment.
  • Good knowledge of MEP, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, kitchen equipment, spare parts, and maintenance materials.
  • Ability to understand technical specifications and coordinate effectively with Engineering teams and suppliers.
  • Strong negotiation, supplier-management, and communication skills.
  • Good command of English, both written and spoken.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and ERP/procurement systems.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple purchasing requirements.
