Manage purchasing requirements for the Engineering Department and support other hotel departments as required.
Source, evaluate, and maintain relationships with suppliers for technical materials, equipment, spare parts, and services.
Obtain and compare quotations based on technical specifications, quality, pricing, and commercial requirements.
Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, warranty conditions, and other commercial terms.
Prepare and process purchase requisitions and purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner.
Review technical specifications, drawings, and equipment requirements when required.
Coordinate closely with the Engineering team to ensure purchased materials and equipment meet the required technical specifications and quality standards.
Follow up with suppliers on deliveries, installation, warranties, repairs, and technical support.
Support procurement related to AMCs, repairs, maintenance works, and technical services.
Maintain accurate purchasing documentation, quotations, supplier records, and supporting documents.
Monitor supplier performance and ensure timely delivery of required materials and services.
Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining required quality and technical standards.
Ensure purchasing activities are carried out in accordance with hotel policies, procedures, and approval requirements.
Requirements
Engineering background is required, preferably in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related Engineering discipline.
Previous experience in Purchasing/Procurement, preferably within a hotel, resort, facility management, or technical environment.
Good knowledge of MEP, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, kitchen equipment, spare parts, and maintenance materials.
Ability to understand technical specifications and coordinate effectively with Engineering teams and suppliers.
Strong negotiation, supplier-management, and communication skills.
Good command of English, both written and spoken.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and ERP/procurement systems.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple purchasing requirements.
