Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Purchasing Supervisor to join our procurement team in AlUla, Saudi Arabia. As a key member of our organization, you will oversee purchasing activities, manage supplier relationships, and ensure the timely acquisition of goods and services while maintaining cost-effectiveness.
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies aligned with organizational goals and budget constraints
- Negotiate contracts, prices, and terms with suppliers to secure the best value for the company
- Oversee the entire purchasing process, from requisition to delivery, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
- Collaborate with department heads to determine purchasing needs and forecast demand
- Analyze market trends, pricing data, and supplier performance to make informed purchasing decisions
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, inventory levels, and supplier information
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and relevant Saudi Arabian regulations
- Coordinate and conduct regular inventory audits with storeroom personnel
- Mentor and supervise junior purchasing staff, providing guidance and performance feedback
- Implement and maintain quality control measures for purchased goods and services
- Cultivate and manage relationships with key suppliers to ensure reliable and high-quality supply
- Stay informed about industry trends and innovations in procurement practices
Qualifications
- Diploma in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of purchasing experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role
- Proven track record of successful contract negotiations and cost savings
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Proficiency in MS Office suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Knowledge of supply chain management principles and best practices
- Experience with procurement software and inventory management systems
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Knowledge of local suppliers and market conditions in Saudi Arabia
- Familiarity with Saudi Arabian procurement regulations and practices
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment
- Willingness to adapt to the unique challenges of working in AlUla, Saudi Arabia
Additional Information
