Nord Anglia Education is looking to recruit a PYP Teacher to join Etqan Global Academy (EGA) in Doha, Qatar.

Etqan Global Academy (EGA) is a newly established IB World School in Doha, Qatar, offering the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP). We are looking for an enthusiastic, collaborative and inquiry-minded PYP Teacher to join our primary team, delivering an outstanding transdisciplinary learning experience and making a real difference to the lives of our students.

The Role

We seek an individual to join as PYP Teacher where your focus will be:

  • Planning and delivering high-quality, transdisciplinary units of inquiry in line with the IB PYP framework
  • Creating an engaging, inclusive and student-centred classroom environment that promotes agency, curiosity and a love of learning
  • Using a range of formative and summative assessment strategies to monitor, document and support student progress
  • Collaborating with grade-level and specialist colleagues to plan, reflect and review units of inquiry
  • Embedding the IB learner profile, PYP attitudes and all five essential elements throughout teaching and learning
  • Promoting student agency, voice and international-mindedness in all aspects of school life
  • Building strong partnerships with parents and engaging them meaningfully in their child's learning journey
  • Contributing actively to the wider life of EGA, including school events, CPD and school improvement activities

The Successful Candidate Will Possess

  • A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, B.Ed or equivalent)
  • Proven experience teaching in an IB PYP school
  • Strong knowledge of the PYP curriculum framework, units of inquiry and transdisciplinary learning
  • The ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated and student-centred lessons
  • Excellent communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills
  • A commitment to reflective practice and continuous professional development
  • A strong commitment to safeguarding and child welfare
  • IB PYP workshop training desirable; international school experience desirable
