Python Automation Testing

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Python.
• Build and enhance network test automation frameworks using Cisco pyATS, Robot Framework, and Playwright.
• Develop automated test cases for Layer 2, Layer 3, routing, switching, and network protocol validation.
• Automate functional, regression, sanity, and end-to-end testing activities.
• Analyze test results, troubleshoot failures, and collaborate with development teams for issue resolution.
• Validate network device configurations and performance across various networking environments.
• Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and automation documentation.
• Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to improve test coverage and quality.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in Networking Fundamentals (TCP/IP, Routing, Switching, VLANs, OSPF, BGP, MPLS).
• Proficiency in Python Programming and automation scripting.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco pyATS.
• Experience with Robot Framework and/or Playwright.
• Knowledge of network testing, validation, and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of automation frameworks and test methodologies.
• Experience with Linux environments and command-line tools.
• Familiarity with Git, Jenkins, and CI/CD practices.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with REST APIs and API automation.
• Knowledge of SDN, NFV, Cloud Networking, or Network Security concepts.
• Exposure to Cisco, Juniper, Arista, or other networking platforms.
• Experience in telecom, enterprise networking, or service provider domains.
