About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior QA Automation Engineer to support our NEMSIS implementation. This role is focused on ensuring the accurate, secure, and compliant exchange of Emergency Medical Services (EMS) data across systems.

The ideal candidate will design and maintain robust Java-based automation frameworks to validate both legacy SOAP (XML-based) services and modern RESTful APIs within a cloud-native AWS environment. Beyond UI testing, this role plays a critical part in validating life-critical data integrity and compliance with national EMS standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Framework Development: Design, build, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for UI, API, and backend validation using Java.
• Hybrid API Testing: Develop and execute automated test suites for both SOAP (XML-heavy) and REST (JSON-based) services.
• NEMSIS Compliance: Validate EMS data against NEMSIS standards, including Schematron rules and XSDs, ensuring full compliance.
• Cloud-Based Testing & Monitoring: Leverage AWS services such as Lambda, S3, and CloudWatch for test execution, monitoring, and reporting.
• Data Integrity & Validation: Perform in-depth database validation and XML/JSON parsing to ensure data consistency and accuracy across systems.
• CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated test suites into Bitbucket CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing and rapid feedback.

Requirements

• BE / B.Tech in Computer Science or related field.
• 4-8 years of experience in Automation testing
• Tech Stack: Java, REST/SOAP, AWS, NEMSIS Standards
• Strong proficiency in Java, including Collections, Exception Handling, and Multi-threading.
• Advanced experience with tools such as RestAssured, SoapUI, or Postman for API automation & testing
• Expert-level understanding of XML, XSD, and JSON, including validation techniques.
• Hands-on experience testing applications deployed on AWS.
• Proficiency with Maven, Git, and Jira.
