Key Responsibilities
Quality Assurance & Control
- Ensure all E&I construction and installation activities comply with ADNOC requirements, project specifications, approved drawings, method statements, ITPs and applicable international standards.
- Develop, review and implement Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Inspection & Test Records (ITRs), Inspection Requests (IRs), checklists and quality documentation.
- Monitor site activities and ensure compliance with approved procedures, specifications and quality requirements.
- Identify, raise, monitor and close Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), including verification of corrective and preventive actions.
- Conduct material receiving inspections and verify materials against approved material submittals, specifications and applicable standards.
Electrical Inspection
- Inspect electrical installation activities including:
- Cable trays, ladders and supports
- Cable laying and dressing
- Cable glanding and termination
- LV/MV panels and switchgear
- Lighting and small power systems
- Junction boxes and electrical equipment
- Witness and verify electrical testing, including insulation resistance (IR/Megger), continuity, earth resistance, functional and other applicable tests.
- Inspect and verify earthing/grounding and lightning protection systems, including testing and documentation.
- Inspect Cathodic Protection (CP) installation and associated quality records.
Instrumentation Inspection
- Inspect installation of instruments, control valves, junction boxes and associated instrumentation equipment.
- Verify instrument tubing, impulse lines, fittings, supports and installation against approved hook-ups and drawings.
- Inspect instrument cabling, glanding, termination and identification.
- Verify instrument calibration, calibration certificates and associated documentation.
- Witness and review loop checking, functional testing, pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
Engineering & Documentation Review
- Review and verify P&IDs, electrical drawings, cable schedules, instrument datasheets, hook-up drawings, General Arrangement (GA) drawings and other approved engineering documents.
- Verify red-line mark-ups and ensure accurate As-Built drawings are maintained.
- Ensure traceability and proper compilation of all inspection and testing records.
- Coordinate preparation and compilation of the Final Quality Dossier and project handover documentation.
Coordination & Interface Management
- Coordinate closely with Client/ADNOC, PMC, TPI, Construction, Engineering, Commissioning and other project teams.
- Attend inspections, testing and quality meetings with Client/PMC/TPI representatives.
- Provide technical support to construction and commissioning teams to resolve quality-related issues.
- Prepare clear and accurate quality reports, inspection status reports and technical correspondence.
Standards & Technical Knowledge
The candidate must have strong working knowledge of applicable ADNOC specifications and requirements, along with relevant international standards, including:
- IEC
- IEEE
- NFPA
- API
- ISO 9001
- Other applicable Oil & Gas, Electrical and Instrumentation standards and codes
Mandatory Requirements
- Minimum 12 years of relevant E&I experience.
- Minimum 5 years of Oil & Gas experience, preferably in ADNOC projects.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a QA/QC / Quality Engineer.
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering.
- ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor Certification – Mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of ADNOC quality requirements, specifications and inspection procedures.
- Strong experience in E&I inspection, testing, commissioning and quality documentation.
- Strong technical reporting, communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
- Strong commitment to quality, HSE, compliance and continuous improvement.
Preferred / Advantageous
- ADNOC or ARAMCO Quality Engineer approval.
- ATEX Certification.
- IECEx Certification.
- Experience with Easy Plant and Easy Piping.
- Previous experience on major ADNOC Oil & Gas EPC projects.
- Experience working directly with Client/PMC/TPI inspection teams.
