Position Objectives
- Ensure MV/LV, UPS, generators, earthing, and cabling installations in data centres meet specifications, drawings, and standards.
- Verify test and energisation readiness while catching defects early to reduce rework.
- Support gating, punch lists, and handover for reliable power systems.
- Maintain site quality for safe, high-availability electrical infrastructure.
Job Description and Responsibilities
- Inspect MV/LV switchgear, UPS, generators, earthing, cable trays, and terminations daily.
- Check compliance with IFC drawings, specs, SLDs, ITPs, and checklists.
- Witness tests (IR, hi-pot, earth resistance, continuity, UPS load bank, gen sync).
- Raise/track NCRs and corrective actions.
- Verify earthing continuity, UPS/generator setup, and integration.
- Prepare punch lists, snagging, rectification checks, and handover support.
Qualification and Required Skills
- Diploma or Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- 24 years of site QA/QC experience in MV/LV electrical works (data centre preferred).
- Knowledge of MV/LV switchgear, UPS, generators, earthing, cabling/termination.
- Familiar with IEC, IEEE, NEC, NFPA 70/70E, and BS 7671 standards.
- Able to read SLDs, schematics, specs, method statements, and ITPs.
- Skilled with testing tools (megger, hi-pot, earth tester) and documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and site communication.
