Responsibilities:
- Implement, monitor, review, and updates the entire quality assurance system in compliance with applicable quality standards, policies, assets, and existing procedures
- Ensure correct applications of quality assurances across the entire organization and its projects
- Determine and allocate quality assurance engineers and resources in projects
- Determine the QA requirements of projects and strive to meet them
- Ensure the adoption of the company's quality management systems in projects
- Liaise with the authorized Quality management Systems Certification bodies and ensures that systems and product certificates of the Company are maintained
- Ensure that quality management systems documentation is kept updated
- Develop, and implement the internal and external audit programs
- Support contract and tender department by reviewing and determining the quality requirements in tenders, and provide quality department's technical input to the bids
- Perform investigation and root cause analysis of failures across the organization using standard tools and techniques
- Ensure the cost of nonconformity and/or failures are determined and reported
- Issue corrective action plans because of the investigation and root causes analysis
- Support projects in implementation of corrective action plans
- Evaluate the effectiveness of the corrective actions to ensure that mistakes do not recure
- Support programs and practices that lead to achievement of quality and excellence awards
- Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean, or Kaizen to enhance quality performance and process efficiency
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for quality assurance and analyze quality data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and potential risks
- Determine training needs for QA resources and strives to provide them
- Manage and address customer feedback and complaints related to product quality
- Identify quality risks and opportunities and develops strategies to mitigate them and implement risk management processes to address and manage quality-related risks
- Support in preparation of annual budget of the Quality Assurance section to ensure activities and quality assurance projects are executed within approved budget
- Implement innovative solutions to enhance quality assurance practices
Qualification/Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, or equivalent
- Minimum 15 years of related work experience in similar industries; dredging and civil marine experience is mandatory
- Certified and registered IRCA Lead Auditor in ISO 9001 is required
